The rules and limitations for using Catkind’s free cat-age calculator, reference chart and downloadable results. Please read these terms together with the Privacy policy and Calculator disclaimer.

1. About these terms

These terms concern Catkind at catyearstohumanyears.net and its included calculator, text, chart and export features. Contact: websiteaftersales@gmail.com. Catkind is a product name, not a claim of incorporation, professional licensure or endorsement. These terms do not govern third-party services reached through links.

2. Using the service

Use the website lawfully and for its described educational purpose. If you do not wish to use it on this basis, stop using it. Nothing on this page treats a visit as consent to optional tracking, a marketing subscription or a waiver of mandatory rights. Where a legally binding agreement requires a particular form of notice, capacity or affirmative acceptance, these terms do not claim to replace that requirement. A parent or guardian should supervise use where appropriate.

3. Free service, no purchases

The current website has no registration, paid plan, subscription, checkout or payment collection. No payment is required to calculate an age, save a PNG, download the reference CSV or print a result. There is therefore no purchase cancellation or refund process for this version. If paid features are introduced, their price, renewal terms, cancellation conditions and applicable consumer rights must be disclosed before any purchase, rather than imposed through a silent change to this page.

4. What the calculator does

The supported cat-age range is one month through 25 years; reverse mode accepts approximately 1–116 human-equivalent years. The model uses cited reference anchors: approximately 15 human years at one cat year, 24 at two, and four extra human years for each subsequent cat year. Intermediate kitten ages use linear interpolation. Date mode counts completed calendar months, including the stated month-end adjustment. Values are displayed with rounding, while the underlying calculation retains precision. Breed, weight, sex, health and indoor/outdoor lifestyle are not adjustments in this model.

5. Accuracy and your inputs

Enter an age you know or reasonably estimate, check the conversion direction and read the method when interpreting a result. An unknown birthday cannot be discovered by this tool. Reference charts and other calculators may use different assumptions. The tool is intended to calculate consistently with its stated model, but errors can occur in code, input, display or source interpretation. If you find a discrepancy, send the input, output, expected result and supporting source. A change to the method can change later results; keep the explanation and source with any saved comparison.

6. Veterinary and emergency limitations

An age comparison does not diagnose a condition, assess quality of life, recommend treatment, determine nutrition or medication, predict remaining lifespan or establish that a cat is healthy. It cannot consider symptoms or medical history. No veterinarian–client relationship is created through this site or ordinary feedback emails. Consult a qualified veterinarian for individual care and contact an appropriate emergency veterinary service for urgent concerns. Do not delay care because of a number, a life-stage label or a pending email reply.

7. Saving and sharing results

You may save, print and share the output cards and charts for personal or educational purposes. Keep the age, approximate nature of the comparison and source context clear, and do not present an edited result as a veterinary certificate or official assessment. A share link contains readable age values and is not access-controlled. You are responsible for choosing recipients and for any additional content you add. These terms do not claim ownership of your cat’s age or other facts you enter, and they do not transfer ownership of the website itself.

8. Website material and third-party rights

The website’s original text, illustration, layout and software may be protected by intellectual-property law. The permission to share generated cards does not grant permission to copy and republish the entire site, impersonate its operator or use its branding to suggest endorsement. Factual ages and formulas remain subject to the rights and exceptions applicable to them. Source organizations retain rights in their publications, names and marks. Links do not license their full documents. Any mandatory rights, lawful quotation and other applicable exceptions remain unaffected.

9. Acceptable use and security

Do not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, evade access controls, interfere with another visitor, impersonate the operator or place an unreasonable load on the service. Automated access must respect applicable access restrictions and must not disrupt ordinary use. Access may be restricted when reasonably needed to address abuse, security incidents or legal requirements. This is not a license to access any private system or a promise that every automated request will be accepted.

10. Feedback and external services

Send feedback and correction requests through the listed email address. You remain responsible for having the right to send any material you include. We may review your message and use the suggestion to evaluate or improve the site; this does not grant a blanket right to publish your personal correspondence or identify you. Email, browser download/print functions and external source websites operate under their own arrangements. A link is a reference, not a guarantee of that service’s availability, security or accuracy.

11. Availability and changes

The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, faults or security reasons. Features and calculation methods may be updated or discontinued; there is no paid service-level commitment in this free version. Stored share links may no longer work after a future format change, so keep a downloaded result if you need a record. Substantial changes to these terms will be identified by an updated date and appropriate notice where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen, and a new paid obligation requires a separate purchase decision.

12. Responsibility and rights that remain

The stated model and educational scope limit what this tool can reasonably tell you; they do not excuse inaccurate descriptions of the service. We cannot control the accuracy of an age you enter, edits or redistribution by other people, your device, or independent third-party services. Responsibility for loss will be determined under applicable law and the actual circumstances. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not remove mandatory consumer protections or promise that all claims are waived. No blanket indemnity, mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver or arbitrary monetary liability cap is imposed here.

13. Questions, disputes and interpretation

Contacting us is not a prerequisite to exercising any legal right or contacting a regulator. Nothing in these terms requires you to give up any right to bring a claim before a court available to you under applicable law.
