1. Who this policy covers

Catkind is the cat-age comparison website at catyearstohumanyears.net. This policy explains the information associated with using the website. Contact us at websiteaftersales@gmail.com about privacy or the website. This policy does not cover independent websites, email services or applications you choose to use.

2. The short version

You can use the calculator without registering, paying or giving us your name or email address. Calculator inputs are processed on your device. The current application has no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, account database or calculation API. This does not mean that browsing a public website is anonymous: hosting infrastructure processes network requests, and sending us an email shares information with us and the email providers involved.

3. Ages and dates you enter

The calculator accepts a cat’s age in years and months, total months, a birth date and comparison date, or a human-equivalent age. These values are used in your browser to calculate and display an estimate. The current application does not send them to a calculation server or save them in cookies, local storage or an account. Changing inputs replaces the active calculation. Reloading ordinarily restores the example, unless the address contains a valid shared-age fragment. Browser extensions, device software and browser recovery features operate independently of this application.

4. Sharing, copying, downloading and printing

Share link places conversion direction and age values after the # symbol in the URL. For date-based calculations, the link records the resolved age, not the birth or comparison date. URL fragments are not part of a normal HTTP request to the web server, but remain readable by the recipient, browser history, synchronization services and software with access to the page. Anyone with a link can restore its age values; links have no password or expiry control. Copy result and Copy email write to your clipboard only when selected. PNG images, CSV charts and printed results are created through your browser. We do not receive a copy through these features. Files, clipboard histories, cloud printers and shared copies follow the settings of the devices or services you choose; we cannot delete a recipient’s copy.

5. Technical information when loading the site

A browser request exposes information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, and sometimes a referring page to the infrastructure serving it. Such information can be needed to deliver files, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. It is separate from the age inputs calculated locally.

6. Email and feedback

If you email websiteaftersales@gmail.com, the recipient receives your sender address, message, any name or signature you include, attachments and ordinary message metadata. This mailbox uses Gmail. Opening a mailto link opens your email application; it does not send a message automatically. We use messages to answer inquiries, investigate corrections, handle privacy requests and address misuse. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, personal medical records or information about other people unless genuinely needed and requested. A calculation report can normally be explained with the input age, result and expected result. There is no newsletter enrollment or marketing subscription on this website.

7. Purposes and applicable legal grounds

Local age processing provides the calculation you request without a server-side record of the input. When applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis for personal information we receive, necessary service delivery and responding to a requested service may rely on performance of that service; ordinary correspondence, fault investigation and proportionate security may rely on legitimate interests, subject to the rights and interests of the individual; records required by law rely on the relevant legal obligation. Optional processing requiring consent would need a separate valid choice before it starts. Merely reading this policy is not consent to unrelated processing.

8. Recipients and international processing

Email is processed by Gmail and the providers used by you and the recipient. Technical delivery services process requests needed to load and protect the website. We do not add advertising data brokers, cross-site profiling or a data-sale feature to this application. Information may also need to be disclosed in response to a valid legal requirement or to address a genuine security incident, limited to what the circumstances require. Email and hosting services may process information outside your country.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can avoid emailing us and can use the calculator without copying, sharing or downloading. Delete a shared fragment to stop restoring its values; use your device controls to manage history, clipboard contents and local files. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights can have legal exceptions. Send requests to websiteaftersales@gmail.com, describe what you want and, if relevant, identify the email conversation. We may request only information reasonably needed to verify that the request concerns you; please do not send identity documents unsolicited. We will handle requests within applicable legal requirements. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority without first contacting us.

10. Children and sensitive information

The site provides general educational information and does not offer children’s accounts, chat, profiles or an upload service. A cat’s age is not a request for a child’s age. Please avoid sending a child’s identifying details or other sensitive personal information by email. If you believe a child has sent personal information that should not be retained, contact us so the message can be reviewed and handled under applicable requirements. Do not treat this website as a way to obtain emergency or individual veterinary care.

11. Security and automated decisions

The application calculates locally and limits its inputs to the information needed for age comparison. Local processing does not protect copies you choose to share or a device that is compromised. No online service, email system or storage method can guarantee absolute security. The calculator does not make decisions about a person’s employment, credit, insurance, eligibility or other legal rights; an age estimate is not a health assessment.

12. Policy changes and related services

The date on this page identifies this version. Changes to hosting, tracking, accounts, advertising or payments require a fresh data-handling review and an updated policy before those features begin. Where a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, an updated date alone will not replace that requirement.
